The Accidental Husband Movie will be in theaters August 22, 2008. The Accidental Husband stars Academy Award nominated actress Uma Thurman.
Actress Uma Thurman plays Emma Lloyd a woman that has made a career out of being sensible, mature and responsible with regard to her approach towards love and relationships.
Emma (Uma Thurman) has a hit radio talk show, an upcoming book deal, and a loving relationship with her fiance, Richard who is played by Colin Firth.
Richard (Colin Firth) is a rather conventional type of person- and this is exactly what Emma is attracted towards.
The Accidental Husband Movie takes the twist when Emma is shocked upon discovering that she is already married to a man that she has never met before.
This marriage is a result of a misguided prank and it has her feeling very shocked, bewildered and confused. Even worse than that, her plans for the future with her fiance Richard, played by Colin Firth,
have now become very threatened as she discovers her "Accidental Husband".
With her wedding to Richard (Colin Firth) just around the corner, Emma (Uma Thurman) must now find this mystery man that has inadvertently become her Accidental Husband
and obtain an annulment from this marriage threatening to turn her world upside down. Emma tracks down her "Accidental Husband"-
Patrick, played by actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Patrick is a very charming and very handsome neighborhood fireman and he has a big secret...that he is the Accidental Husband and
is the one behind the "accidental" marriage.
Unable to admit to being the one behind becoming her Accidental Husband, Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) goes along with the joke and is pretending to be just as baffled as Emma is about being
her Accidental Husband.
While at first their very opposite attitudes about life create much
tension and chaos for them both, Emma (Uma Thurman) soon begins to admire and love Patrick's carefree and happy-go-lucky passion for life and this causes her to
begin to doubt her own conservative, sensible views on life and love.
As Emma's wedding draws near,
she is faced with the choice between her safe and predictable life with Richard (Colin Firth)or the chance to live in the passionate, carefree and spontaneous happy-go-lucky
world that Patrick lives in.
The Accidental Husband is a carefree romantic comedy and is a new release movie that will be in theaters March 12.
